Frequently asked questions
Executive coaching is a one-on-one partnership where you have a thinking partner to help you work through whatever's in front of you. That might be a transition, a difficult team dynamic, feedback you're not sure what to do with, or just the feeling that something's not working the way it used to. We figure out what's going on and what to do about it together.
Coaching tends to be a good fit if you're in the middle of something you can't quite figure out on your own, whether that's a transition, a challenge with your team, or just a sense that something needs to shift. If you're not sure, book a call. We'll talk through what's going on and you'll get a feel for whether it would be helpful.
Sessions are usually 45 to 60 minutes, depending on what we're working through.
I work primarily with senior leaders navigating transitions, but I'm open to conversations with anyone who thinks coaching might help. If you're not sure whether it's the right fit, reach out and we can talk it through.
Most clients meet weekly or every other week, but we figure out a rhythm that works for you.
Yes. Most of my clients meet with me virtually over video or phone.
AI can give you frameworks and options and help you think through decisions. I use it myself sometimes. But coaching is about helping you see something you're not seeing, and that requires someone paying attention to you over time—the way you hesitate before certain topics, the thing you keep circling back to, the gap between what you say and what you do. That kind of attention takes a real relationship. It takes trust built over time, honest conversation, and someone who genuinely cares whether you follow through. I care about the progress you make, the insights you surface, and the clarity you walk away with. That's a richer experience than any machine can offer.
It depends on what you're working through. Some clients work with me for a few months during a specific transition. Others continue longer because they find it valuable to have a thinking partner as things evolve. We can talk about what makes sense for you.
We talk about what's going on for you and what you're hoping to get out of coaching. It's a conversation, not a sales pitch. By the end, you'll have a sense of whether working together would be helpful.
Therapy often focuses on healing and understanding the past. Coaching is more focused on the present and future—what's in front of you now and how to move forward. I'm not a therapist, and coaching isn't a substitute for therapy if that's what you need.
